Update to Mission Blue Cap Grant


Dear Post Commanders and Post Adjutants,

Last week we shared a grant program for the Posts from the National Headquarters. There have been a few questions about the grant we would like to clarify.

  1. There is a list of requirements National requires in order for department to approve the application to send it along to National. The application process will go faster if you provide that information to department.
  2. Instead of just checking the box, please provide a summary on a separate sheet of paper and copies of the items where applicable.
  3. Let us know and prove that you meet the criteria.
  4. Properly incorporated, provide your EIN and Michigan LARA Identification number.
  5. Explain your financial need.

To clarify the "that national headquarters is listed as additionally insured" piece here is a link to letter sent out by the national judge advocate about what that is about. There should be no charge for this to be on the post insurance. Click here to read.

The more information you provide and we do not have to look up the quicker the process will be.
