WWII Veteran Memorial Service, Wednesday, Feb 9th at Gethsemane Cemetery at 11:00 AM

The Services for Robert Charles Stahl will be held tomorrow, Feb 9th at Gethsemane Cemetery, 10755 Gratiot Ave, Detroit, Mi 48213  on the first floor of the heated mausoleum.  Family visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM followed by an American Legion Ceremony at 11:30 and followed by a Military Honor Guard.  Grosse Pointe Commander, Dan McCrary will lead the American Legion Ceremony and Chaplin Tim Robinson will assist.  Robert Balmer will play Taps.  
Robert Stahl was a Past Commander of the now-closed Lutheran Post 406.  He served in the United States Navy as a Seaman First Class during WWII in the Philippine Liberation, in the Asiatic Pacific.  His sea duty during WWII was on the USS Nemasket, a gasoline tanker, in the Pacific.  
Gethsemane Cemetery is on Gratiot, just south of the Detroit City Airport on Gratiot avenue.
